NintendoCela fait maintenant plus de six mois que From SoftWare a surpris tout le monde avec l’annonce de TheDuskBloods lors de la sortie de la Switch 2. L’exclusivité Nintendo avait laissé une partie de la communauté sceptique. Mais après ces dernières déclarations, tout le monde semble désormais retourner sa veste, une seule envie domine : y jouer.

Beaucoup avaient été pris à contrepied lorsque les papas d’Elden Ring et Dark Souls annonçaient une exclusivité sur Nintendo Switch. Certains se disaient déçus, tandis que d’autres ont simplement abandonné l’idée de jouer à ce prochain jeu. Mais c’était sans compter sur ces dernières déclarations de From SoftWare qui sont venues changer la tournure de The Duskbloods !
The Duskbloods, le jeu From SoftWare qui a demandé le plus de travail
Dimanche 23 novembre, un journaliste chinois du nom de Ziostorm, reconnu pour avoir révélé des informations avérées sur Elden Ring auparavant, a publié une vidéo pour parler de l’actualité de From SoftWare. Dedans on y retrouve des informations concernant le DLC d’Elden Ring Nightreign, mais surtout, il ouvre un chapitre plus qu’intéressant sur The Duskbloods.
« C’est le titre du studio qui a nécessité le plus de temps pour le prototypage et la validation du gameplay », affirme-t-il. Une révélation qui ne laisse pas de marbre les joueurs. On connaît les œuvres de From SoftWare comme des jeux plus qu’exigeants sur leur gameplay et leur mécanique de combat, alors si The Duskbloods a été l’opus du studio le plus travaillé sur cet aspect, que va-t-il nous offrir ? …
« Le jeu avait été approuvé avant même que la période de marketing pour la sortie de Sekiro ne commence. » 2018, c’est la date à laquelle Sekiro a commencé à faire parler de lui. Sept ans, voire plus, séparent cette date de la sortie de The Duskbloods. Jamais aucun jeu de chez From SoftWare n’avait eu autant de temps de développement. À titre de comparaison, les équipes d’Elden Ring ont mis 5 ans à développer le jeu, alors qu’on connaît tous son immense qualité.
Ainsi, il ne faut évidemment pas mettre la charrue avant les bœufs, mais cette temporalité est tout de même de bonne augure…
Non ce n’est pas un projet annexe
Beaucoup pensaient que ce fameux Duskbloods ne serait qu’un jeu de transition, un titre destiné à faire patienter les joueurs en attendant un autre projet majeur, un peu à l’image d’Elden Ring Nightreign. Et il faut dire qu’une exclusivité Nintendo laissait effectivement penser à un projet plus modeste. Mais il n’en est rien : tout indique aujourd’hui que c’est exactement l’inverse.
« Bien qu’il s’agisse d’un jeu PvP et PvE, il contiendrait de nombreux éléments innovants dont l’équipe elle-même est très fière », a soutenu Ziostorm. Au vu de ces nouvelles informations, The Duskbloods apparaît comme une véritable œuvre d’ambition, façonnée avec soin, et clairement pensée pour marquer les joueurs.
Et ici, à la rédac, on a évidemment hâte d’y mettre la main. Problème : les développeurs n’ont pas encore communiqué de date de sortie. Mais un événement approche, et il pourrait bien changer la donne : les Game Awards. C’est LE rendez-vous incontournable pour tout éditeur, l’instant parfait pour dévoiler un nouveau trailer et, pourquoi pas, annoncer enfin la date de sortie.
Rendez-vous donc dans la nuit du 11 au 12 décembre, à 2h du matin heure française, pour suivre la cérémonie. On y découvrira le futur GOTY 2025… et, espérons-le, de nouvelles images de The Duskbloods.
